Enjoying the Season without Sacrificing Your Health! 🎉

Published 6 months ago • 2 min read

Hey Reader!

As we approach the holiday season, it's natural to start thinking about all those delicious treats, festive gatherings, and cozy moments with family and friends. The end of the year is a time for celebration, and I wholeheartedly believe that you should savor every moment of it!

But, it's also the time when many people feel they must choose between enjoying the season and staying on track with their health and fitness goals.

Well, I'm here to tell you that you don't have to choose one over the other. You can have your holiday cake (or pie!) and stay fit too. Here's the game plan for a healthy and happy holiday season:

1. Embrace Balance: Healthy living isn’t about strict diets and grueling workouts; it’s about enjoying your life while taking care of your body. It’s okay not to eat perfectly. Indulging in your favorite treats at holiday parties or sipping on that seasonal hot chocolate is a part of the fun. So go ahead, enjoy these moments guilt-free.

2. Keep Moving: While your schedule may get busier with holiday preparations and festivities, don’t skip your workouts. In fact, I like to go hard during the holidays WHILE enjoying MANY of my favorite holiday treats. Staying active will not only help you burn off those extra calories but also keep you energized and in a positive mindset.

3. Plan Ahead: If you know you have a big holiday dinner or party coming up, plan your meals and workouts accordingly. On days when you have indulgent events, aim for healthier options at other times. It’s all about balance and making conscious choices. For eample, A nice morning workout and healthy breakfast on Thanksgiving day.

4. Enjoy in Moderation: When it comes to holiday treats, remember that it’s about quality, not quantity. Savor each bite, and you’ll find that you don’t need to overindulge to satisfy your cravings. Be mindful of when you've had enough.

5. The “Bounce Back”: Sometimes, despite our best efforts, we may feel like we’ve fallen off track. If that happens, don’t worry remember we talk alot about having a plan for that. I've shared this a few times, but I created a video called the “Bounce Back” as part of our Health Habits Mini-Course a while back and it seems fitting so I'll ad it here. It’s a great resource to help you get back on track and stay motivated during the holiday season. [The "Bounce Back"]

Remember, it’s not about starting over in January; it’s about enjoying the holiday season while maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

So go ahead, plan to indulge in your favoritesit’s all part of your healthy living journey.

Let’s make this holiday season a time of joy, celebration, and unwavering commitment to our well-being.

AND if this resonates with you I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Your journey can inspire others just as it inspires you. So feel free to reply or spread the positivity with someone you know. It may be just what they need to hear! 😘

Hi! I'm Nicole

Over the years I have thrown alot of info into my emails. I considered taking some of my old emails and making them into blog posts and then realized I can make a newsletter feed for you to go back to or refer others to. So here it is. Of course I won't include all emails here. But, as I write, when something seems to be a very useful email with info I beleive you will want to refer back to it will go to this feed. Enjoy! 😘

Hi Reader! Can you believe we're just about to say goodbye to 2023? In two weeks it will be 2024!! I started to write you an email about setting goals for the coming year. But then I thought it would be more exciting to go even BIGGER — and set a THEME for 2024. Ask yourself: What do you want this next year to be about? How do you want to feel a year from now? Setting a 2024 theme helps you shift your priorities, mindset, and actions in an easy-to-follow direction. Basically, your choices...
