Can you believe we're just about to say goodbye to 2023? In two weeks it will be 2024!!

​

I started to write you an email about setting goals for the coming year. But then I thought it would be more exciting to go even BIGGER β€”

and set a THEME for 2024.

​Ask yourself: What do you want this next year to be about? How do you want to feel a year from now?

Setting a 2024 theme helps you shift your priorities, mindset, and actions in an easy-to-follow direction.

​
Basically, your choices align with your theme… or they don’t!

Some ideas:

  • A Year of Follow Through
  • Cultivating Happiness
  • Adventure Awaits
  • Choosing Health
  • Positive Mindset
  • Accountability
  • Leveling Up

Your theme should be something that resonates with you and makes you feel excited to see where it will lead you β€” or like a heavy load has been lifted from your back.

It works because it connects your actions with a feeling or desired outcome β€” rather than just creating another rule to follow.

​My 2024 theme: Be proud of myself.

I tend to put a lot of pressure on myself and only look at what I'm not doing, or haven't accomplished. I believe that even if we are far away from our goals we are always doing something we can be proud of. It can be something big but it can also be something small. If you ever had a fitness consult or start up session with me you may recall at somepoint I asked you, to name two to three things about your health/fitness that you know you should be doing but aren't currently doing?

About a month ago I stopped doing that. It only took me almost 10 years. The purpose was simple, it was to help you look at areas you want to work on to help achieve your goals. The problem is it's one more way to tell yourself that you're doing enough. And it's probably all you focus on. It's so easy to sit there and think of all the things we are supposedly doing wrong but that doesn't always help us to do them it just sets up up to decide we're incapable.

For those of you that have done a recent empowerment chat or fitness consult you know I know ask you, to name two to three things you are currently doing for your health or fitness? We so really look at what we are doing well. When we look at what we are doing well we give ourselves permission to be proud and then it's even easier to add in more that we are proud of because we're already doing good.

I want to be very honest with you all. Ao much of what I write about is because I personal go through it. I have a lot of knowledge on Nutrition and Fitness but I am soooo human and struggle so much. This in paticular is very hard for me. That's why it's my theme for 2024. So next December I plan to tell you how amazing my 2024 was and how proud I am of myself and how that started a ripple effect in all areas of my life.

I know that was a lot, but I want you to put as much thought into your theme and why it matters for you.
