Overcoming Your Obstacles to Success [Crushing RoadBlocks Activity Inside!!] 💥

Hey Reader!

So I'm gonna piggyback on a topic I mentioned on Monday. Adding in a fun activity!

Are there things in your life that you’ve been wanting to do but just can’t seem to get started? It's ok to have reasons why your not doing something, we all face obstacles. The first step to overcoming them is understanding what’s stopping us.

It's good to spend time thinking of all the reasons why your not doing the thing you want to do or thing you even need to do. Sometimes simply understanding why you're not doing it can help you figure out how to do.

Activity Time:

  1. List what you want to pursure: I want you to write down something you've been wanting to do that you haven't been. It can be anything from eating a healthy breakfast, taking an art class, or pursuing any goal.
  2. List everything stopping you: Now list everything stopping you. Maybe it's a conflicting schedule, maybe you're not sure how to start, maybe everytime you're about to start something stops you or MAYBE you do start and then when things come up you stop and don't continue after. Whatever it is write it down. Everytime your brain says I'll start later, that reason is something you NEED to write down. This will probably be a big list, and that's ok. If it's a short list that's ok too. When you think you're done give yourself a few more minutes to jot a few more "excuses" I know it sounds crazy. Why is she having me come up with excuses 🙄 shouldn't when ignore excuses. #NoExcuses! Nope! That takes alot of will power. So what are you gonna do when that will power wears off or you just don't have it that day. We prepare for that! Facing your excuses head-on and preparing to defeat them is crucial.
  3. Brainstorm solutions: Ok, so you've got your list. Now you're going to brainstorm solutions for each obstacle, EVERY single thing that's stopping you from doing the thing you Want or Need to do. As well as the things that might stop you. This is really important. It’s not just about getting started; it’s about staying on track, even when those excuses rear their heads again.

Let's take eating a healthy breakfast for example. You wrote it down, you're ready to do it tomorrow and you did it! But then a few days later that thing on the list came up, or maybe you go a few weeks before it comes up. Well, we have a solution for that and you continue on because you were prepared WAY in advance.

So, what’s that thing you’ve been wanting to do? Let’s tackle it together and make it a reality.
